Tearful Adieu to Slain Forest Officers, Smugglers Attack in Tirupathi. From Leela Mahal Circle, the body of Sridhar was taken to his residence in Satyanarayanapuram and the body of David Karunakaran to his village Jeevagram near Renigunta for conducting last rites.

Tirupati: Cutting across the cadres, the forest personnel from various places joined together to give a tearful adieu here on Monday to NR Sridhar, Deputy Forest Ranger who died in the smugglers attack.
The bodies of the officers were taken out in a procession through the main streets of Tirupati. The police staff raised slogans hailing the sacrifice of the two officials and also warning the smugglers of dire consequence during the rally.
From Leela Mahal Circle, the body of Sridhar was taken to his residence in Satyanarayanapuram and the body of David Karunakaran to his village Jeevagram near Renigunta for conducting last rites.
After the relatives and friends paid their last respects, the body of Sridhar’s was taken to Harichandra Smasanvatika where his body was laid to rest.
Accordng to family sources of Karunakaran, his last rites will be held in the cemetery in Jeevagram after the arrival of his brother Williams who is working in Libiya.
