Renigunta: Local police on Monday arrested six of the main accused in the recent double murder case of Forest department officials and seized from their possession the gold ornaments allegedly snatched from the victims, Srinath and David.
The accused, Kannann(44), Manoj (28), Loknath (50), Lakshman(35), Kali(35) and Kuppuswamy, belonged to Tamil Nadu, said Renigunta DSP Srinivasulu. Several special teams are looking for the other main accused, he told press persons.
In the sensational case, the two officials were beaten to death by the red sander smugglers in the Seshachala forest. The police had taken the case as a challenge and initiated special steps, including joint combing, to nab the killers.
