Hyderabad: Lok Satta Party national president Jayaprakash Narayan on Sunday emphasised the need for promoting rationalism to counter the increasing practice of superstitions in the society.

He was launching a book- ‘Edi Neeti- Edi Reeti’, written by noted rationalist N Innaiah. Rationalists Forum Secretary I Muralidharan and a host of others took part in the programme.

The Lok Satta Party leader said the efforts being made by the Forum in the form of publishing books on rationalism would help understand the myths in the society. Lauding the efforts made by the Forum to create awareness on the importance of rational thinking among the people, Jayaprakash said that India would have achieved ‘developed country’ status if the people’s minds were set free from superstitions.
