Rajanarasimha takes a jibe at CM, Telangana Udyogula Sangham. The Deputy Chief Minister thanked ‘Telangana Udyoghula Sangham’ president C Vittal.

• Does not spare Naidu, Jagan for not replying to GoM

• He was releasing 2014 diary of Telangana Udyogula Sangham

• Comes down heavily on leaders bent on building their own image at the cost of party

• He is confident Parliament will pass T Bill at the Special Session

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha came down heavily on the party leaders who were out to build their public image by treading a path of their own at the cost of the party interest.

In an obvious reference to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, he wondered as to why ‘this leader’ remained silent when the Congress party made a mention about statehood for Telangana in its poll manifestos in 2004 and 2009.

Participating as the chief guest in the 2014 diary release programme of ‘Telangana Udyogula Sangham’ here on Sunday, Rajanarasimha said, “You want votes from the Telangana region to adorn coveted posts but don’t care about the aspirations of its people.”

Rajanarasimha was also critical of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Jaganmohan Reddy for their tactics on the Telangana issue. By not voicing their views in the State legislature, YSRCP and Telugu Desam parties were indirectly deceiving the people of Seemandhra districts. Not even a single Seemandhra leader gave a representation to the Group of Ministers (GoM) about the demands of their region in case of the State division.

Rajnarasimha stated that the Telangana Bill would be passed by Parliament in a special session likely to be held in the first week of February. He, however, laid emphasis on formulating short-term and long-term plans to achieve Telangana State as desired by the people of the region.

The Deputy Chief Minister thanked ‘Telangana Udyoghula Sangham’ president C Vittal, besides intellectuals and professors from Osmania, Kakatiya and Central Universities, for sharing extensive and in-depth information which enabled him to give a 40-minute comprehensive presentation to the Congress Working Committee on the Telangana issue.
