Hyderabad: The Congress Party chief whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy on Friday in the state assembly said that the formation of Telangana has been undertaken purely on the guidelines of the constitution.
Gandra said all those who have sworn by the constitution of republic of India should allow the discussions to take place in a favoring environment. Further, he said the union government has taken a decision only after so many consultations.
He said the demand has the failed solemn promises made during the merger of both the states as its roots. Gandra said almost all parties were in favour of the formation of Telangana state and said it was not correct to take a ‘U’ turn after the center has taken its final decision.
