Provide security to OMC case witness: Naidu, Obulapuram Mining, Obulapuram Mining Case. The TDP chief demanded that the government transfer the case filed against Sashi Kumar by the police in Kadapa to CB-CID to ensure fair investigation.
Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday demanded that the State government provide security to C Sashi Kumar, the main witness in the illegal mining case involving Obulapuram Mining Company owned by former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy.
In a letter to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Naidu said Gali’s followers were threatening and making attempts to liquidate Sashi Kumar. He said that recently, some miscreants damaged Kumar’s property, including his vehicles, but the local police failed to nab the culprits.
The TDP chief demanded that the government transfer the case filed against Sashi Kumar by the police in Kadapa to CB-CID to ensure fair investigation. “The local police are harassing the complainant and trying to force him to withdraw the case against the mining baron,’’ he pointed out.
