AP leaders' Nizam remarks in Assembly irks family

The Nizam Family Welfare Association ( Family Members of Nizam VII ) vehemently condemns the uncalled for and disparaging remarks made by the Political leaders of Andhra Pradesh on Nizam rule.

Hyderabad state had always been independent and was a symbol of Indian Heritage, communal harmony and secular. The Legacy and Heritage of the Nizam or the Asif Jahi Dynasty who ruled for 228 years was so impressive and rich that no individual can cast down on it. The Political leaders of Andhra Pradesh have no right to criticize or compare with the Nizam who had a tremendous foresight and left an indelible mark in almost every sphere known throughout the world. These leaders should take their history lessons again, as they absolutely lack the knowledge about the administrative skills displayed by the Nizam during the rule.

That the Political leaders of Andhra Pradesh who are unnecessarily shifting the blame pertaining to the current crises of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh on our forefathers is highly condemnable and reprehensible as well. They themselves are not sure and confused totally about their future and which party they will join. Then how can they blame the Nizam's rule.

Nizam rule is long over about 66 years having passed what have these leaders been doing all these years except blaming each other for their follies? Ignoring the development and welfare steps taken by the Nizam is tantamount to being ungrateful to him. If we talk about the development of Hyderabad and what the Nizam had contributed to the society it will be like showing lantern to the sun. All the latest technology available at that period was given to the public by the Nizam who was the leader of the masses.

He was a great visionary and a simple and humble living persona. Throughout his rule his subjects had peaceful living. The critics are making damaging comments on him with bias and without modicum of knowledge about his excellent administrative skills and able rule.

Some of Nizam VII achievements when he was not a ruler in the late 50's.

"He visited Osmania Hospital where he saw a boy, whose one leg was amputated. He suddenly stopped and enquired whether the hospital had facility to put artificial limb to the boy The doctors informed such facility was available only in Pune. He lamented, how my poor subjects can afford to go to Pune. He called a famous surgeon Dr. Ranga Reddy and asked him to plan for the establishment of an Orthopedic Hospital in Hyderabad at his expenses. Thus came into existence the Nizam Orthopedic Hospital. On his own expenses without any Government aid "as quoted by M. Burhan Husain.

Nizam Charitable Trust was made in 1954 with the corpus amount of Rs 4.9 Cr.lt is still in existence helping the poor and needy regardless of any religion and caste serving on first come first bases in terms of Scholar Ship, Monthly maintenance and Medical, hospitals and other object of public utilities.

Many of the monumental achievement for his people which still exist are Osmania and Niloufer Hospitals, Nizam State Railways, Roads ,Bus Service, Aviation, Telephones, Deccan Radio, Electricity, Postal ,Water Supply ,Drainage ,Industries, Medical and Public Health, Medical College, Unani Hospital, Investigation in Chloroform ,Cause of Malaria, Industrialization, Industrial Trust Fund, Scientific and Industrial Research Board ,Industrial Area ,Industrial Schools ,Industrial Research Laboratory, Textile Industry, Cotton Industry ,Hyderabad Construction Company, Hyderabad Civil Service , Agriculture and Irrigation Facilities, Nizamsagar Dam ,Nizam Sugar Factory, Schools, Asafia Library, Nizamia Observatory, State Archives, Engineers and Architects, Osmania University, Women's College, State Bank of Hyderabad which is treasury for Andhra Pradesh, Administrative Reforms, Legislative Council, Law and Justice.
