Hyderabad: The AP State Reorganisation Bill-2013 will be sent back to the Union Home Ministry on Monday morning. The special consignment carrying the Bill along with its add-ons, including the proceedings of both the Houses, the resolution rejecting the Bill and the proposed amendments , will be sent by a regular flight by 6.15 am.

A six-member team comprising a deputy secretary, one assistant secretary and some section officers will accompany the consignment to the national capital. The consignment includes English version of speeches and written copies of legislators. Some 20 cartons packed-material was sent to the Chief Secretary’s office at 2.30 pm on Sunday and it was placed in a room in ‘C’ block. A total of 50 copies of the 9072 amendments proposed (all running into 750 pages) were also added to the consignment. Chief Secretary PK Mohanty and Legislature Secretary Raja Sadaram verified the consignment on Sunday evening to ascertain that all the items were included.

They also listed out the items in an order. The exercise lasted five hours for them. The Chief Secretary is also sending a note along with the consignment to the Union Home Ministry with details on the sequence of the proceedings and details of the consignment. The President in his communication to the State government had clearly stated that the views of the House and the individual opinions of the legislators on different clauses be forwarded within three days after the session ended. In the first communication, the President set January 23 as deadline for completion of the discussion and January 26 for forwarding the legislators’ views.

But it was subsequently extended to February 3 following a week-long extension accorded at the request of the Chief Minister.
