Prohibition and Excise Superintendent Vijay Bhaskar Reddy in the district office here was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Friday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.30, 000 in the office from the complaint.
Adilabad: Prohibition and Excise Superintendent Vijay Bhaskar Reddy in the district office here was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Friday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.30, 000 in the office from the complaint.
According to the ACB DSP Sudarsan Goud, the official had demanded the amount from the complainant for doing an official favour (not arresting the wine shop owner Ravindar Reddy) and overlooking the Excise Act rules/regulations. The ACB officials recovered the amount from the officer and arrested him. He will be produced before the Second Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
