Hyderabad: Unhappy over the ill-treatment meted out at AP Bhavan in New Delhi, Major Industries Minister J Geeta Reddy is mulling to resign from the Council of Ministers.
Sources said that the Minister was very much disappointed over the manner in which she was manhandled by the security personnel when she along with other cabinet colleagues were staging dharna in front of the bus carrying the Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Seemandhra Ministers and leaders to Jantar Mantar to stage a dharna against State bifurcation on Wednesday. She said the Chief Minister remained as a mute spectator when the security men were pushing them. She said she had brought the issue to the notice of President Pranab Mukherjee and the Congress party high command.
She alleged that the Chief Minister had shown disrespect towards womanhood and the whole of people of Telangana. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister telephoned Geeta Reddy, D K Aruna and Sunita Laxma Reddy and expressed his regrets over the incidence.
