Hyderabad: The final battle lines are drawn. While the Congress is making all-out efforts to introduce the T Bill in the Lok Sabha, the Seemandhra MPs are determined to stall the proceedings at any cost.
The Seemandhra MPs, who met in Delhi late on Wednesday night, decided to intensify their protest and stall the proceedings. According to Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, they had decided not to allow the House to function and introduce the Bill. As the MPs from both the regions almost came to blows on Wednesday, one wonders how the situation would be on Thursday when both the Houses would meet. They also decided to move a no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha. Already MPs from both the sides made it clear that they would go to any extent in support of their respective causes. Meanwhile, TDP MP from Narasaraopet M Venugopala Reddy said that he was even ready to face any physical attack from Telangana MPs.
On the other hand Nagarkurnool MP Manda Jaganndham said though he wanted the issue settled amicably, the Telangana MPs would not sit quiet if Seemandhra MPs flexed their muscles. “We will let them know the extent we can go,” he said.
Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar said that their silence should not be construed as their weakness. Anakapalle MP Sabbam Hari has said that he would end his life in the House if the Centre tabled the Bill in the Lok Sabha.
