Chandrababu Naidu Asks Speaker N Manohar To Disqualify 4 MLAs. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Friday filed petitions before Assembly Speaker N Manohar seeking disqualification of four MLAs, who switched over loyalties to the TRS and voted in favour of its candidate in the just concluded Rajya Sabha election in the State.
They defied party whip and voted for TRS candidate in RS polls

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Friday filed petitions before Assembly Speaker N Manohar seeking disqualification of four MLAs, who switched over loyalties to the TRS and voted in favour of its candidate in the just concluded Rajya Sabha election in the State.
TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu filed the petitions against the dissident MLAs--K Harishwar Reddy, S Venugopala Chary, Hanumanth Shinde and G Kamalakar--under the anti-defection law. All the four MLAs joined the TRS recently.
He said in the petition that the party issued whip to all the party MLAs to cast their vote to party candidates G Mohana Rao and Sitarama Laxmi. But the legislators voted in favour of TRS candidate K Keshava Rao.
