Hyderabad: The Minister for Rural Development in the state cabinet Dokka Manikya Varaprasad on Tuesday addressed the media and said that Kiran Kumar Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has been a supporter of state bifurcation in the guise of Samaikyavadhi.

He said the agenda of getting the bifurcation bill passed has been achieved by Kiran Kumar. Dokka said if Kiran Kumar Reddy might have opted for resignation on the very first day, when the CWC has taken its decision to divide the state, such a situation could have not prevailed. Dokka said such a situation could have not arrived if he did so. Kiran Kumar Reddy has been acting in the direction of a national leader, added dokka, and said he was in power only to get the bill passed through.

Dokka said with the demand of Samaikyandhra, Kiran Kumar has acted a play tactically. The other Samaikyavadhies were entrapped by Kiran, he added. He allegedly said that Kiran Kumar, in order to safeguard his position has caused hurdles when the union government has declared to offer a package for Telangana and to keep the state united in the year 2012.

He said the congress high command has opined that if package was given to Telangana, the Chief Minister should be from the same region. At that time, said Dokka, Kiran Kumar has sent 25 MLAs to demand for a separate state and not for packages.

Dokka said Kiran Kumar Reddy has been moving ahead with two strategies: first – to float a new party and merge it in Congress party after the elections and second – to stay away from politics for sometime and to become AICC Chief Secretary.

Dokka said even though few people like him have already observed his ploy, people are not in a position to understand all these twists. He said the sentiment of the people has been wisely encashed by the Chief Minister. He sarcastically said as Kiran Kumar is left with the work of packing of few more luggage items and may take some more time to offer resignation.
