The political scene in Andhra Pradesh has hot up soon after the Centre announced separate statehood to Telangana. While speculation surrounding caretaker Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy's new party continues to gain momentum, his detractor are tearing him apart with their criticisms.

In another blow to Kiran who's mulling the launch of a new political outfit, Punagunur MLA Peddireddy has made fun of Kiran's capability and dared his party to get even a single seat in the upcoming elections.

In an interesting development, Punganur MLA Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy on Tuesday announced that he will take political retirement if Kiran's new party wins at least one seat.

Peddireddy, who has emerged as the bete noire of Kiran has thrown an open challenge that he will quit politics if Kiran's proposed party gets one seat. Else Kiran should go to Bangalore or Delhi after his party's debacle.

Though Kiran lacked experience, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy had made him the Assembly speaker. So, Kiran must support Jagan's party if he wants to cleanse his sins, he said.

It may be recalled that Peddireddy had given a deadline to the Congress High Command saying he would quit the party if Kiran Kumar Reddy was not removed as the Chief Minister. When the High Command did not heed his words, he quit the Congress party.
