Hyderabad: The administration is gearing up for completing the process of division of the State. Chief Secretary P K Mohanty convened a meeting on Wednesday with the heads of 15 committees which had been constituted for the purpose. The heads were asked to submit their reports to apex committee by March 30.

The apex committee will in turn vet these reports and submit them to the Governor, who will send them to the central committees constituted by the Central government to oversee the bifurcation process.

It is learnt that the government wants to know the status of all employees one month before of appointed day June 2, 2014. Chief Secretary reportedly observed that, “The employees have reconciled and have made up their mind to get repatriated if they are informed about their working place prior to the appointed day.”

The government has already collected information about the employees working in the state cadre, and also zonal and multi-zonal levels. Domicile status, service details and other information has been updated and the Chief Secretary asked the officials to stop salaries of March to the employees if they do not submit their details to the government by March 15. The employees who are working in the State cadre might have been direct recruits or might have been promoted. Their native or domicile district should be verified and they should be allotted between the two States accordingly, he said.

The task of knowing the status of 7.5 lakh employees across the State would not be a problem.

But, the status of 56,000 employees at the Secretariat, various zones and directorates will be difficult to know, and the central committee would take up an elaborate exercise in this regard, the CS said.
