In order to allure the voters, the currency bundles are shown to them like a bloodworm to a fish. In the process of transportation of the cash and allied items, the police have been entrapping the vehicles and seizing the money from various vehicles, apart from detaining the people involved in this matter. There is no doubt that with the limited manpower, the police cannot have an eye on each and every vehicle that passes by. Making better utilisation of such a situation, advantageously those involved in this process have been distributing the cash in much number of vehicles, which for obvious reasons follow the same route in most of the cases.

It is learnt that the driver of one vehicle intentionally gets caught hold to the police authorities to pave a way for the other vehicles to get passed through the hurdle. Most of the times, the entire process will turn to be unbeaten. In some odd case, if some vehicle that carries the cash is seized, even then it is not a matter of great concern as the other vehicles which carry the amount will pass through safely from the other end.

Action and counter action are the ubiquitous strategies; and this case is not an exception for that. Banwar Lal, the Chief Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh, said that so far they have seized Rs 108cr during their checks spur-of-the-moment. He addressed the media and said that they have also seized 69.5kg gold, 300kg silver apart from 4.10L litres liquor.

Once more than Rs 100cr has been seized by the authorities by now, it could be imagined how much more money could have been conveyed successfully in this process. So, what has been seized for sure is insignificant as compared to the actual haulages that might have taken place.
