Two child labourers rescued from hotel

Hyderabad: Two child labourers were rescued from a hotel in Saifabad area here on Thursday. Members of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR), who came to know that children were engaged in the commercial establishment in Saifabad, went to Kamat Hotel along with representatives of Childline, an NGO.
They conducted checks and rescued two boys -- Kavali Keshavulu, 10, belonging to Rangareddy district and Mithilesh Yadav, 11, a native of Jharkhand. The manager of the hotel, Prakash Pulkav, was arrested. According to Dr Mamatha Raghuveer, member, SCPCR, a case has been registered against the management of the hotel under Juvenile Justice Act 22 & 23 for which the management is liable for fine and imprisonment. The two children were sent to the transit home for boys in Saidabad. Andhra Pradesh Balala Hakkula Sangham president Achyuta Rao was also present.
