20 Bus Passengers Hurt. Over 20 passengers of an APSRTC express bus were injured when it fell from the approach road atop a bridge into a field after capsizing near Peddapalli crossroads, on the national highway, in Yelamanchili municipal limits early on Monday.

Visakhapatnam: Over 20 passengers of an APSRTC express bus were injured when it fell from the approach road atop a bridge into a field after capsizing near Peddapalli crossroads, on the national highway, in Yelamanchili municipal limits early on Monday. The bus, of Gokavaram depot, was moving at a good speed while going from Visakhapatnam to Rajahmundry when the mishap occurred. The injured were shifted to government hospitals at Anakapalli and Yelamanchili. RTC officials did not respond after the bus driver informed them about the accident. As a result the passengers had to spend agonizing moments waiting.

However, the Visakhapatnam RTC regional manager responded when the passengers themselves informed him.
He arranged an alternate bus from local complex here. Police registered a case. The Rural and Town Sis visited the spot.
