Kadapa: The first meeting of the YSR Congress legislature party would be held at Idupulapaya on May 21 to enable the newly-elected MLAs to pay homage to YSR, former chief minister and father of party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Y S Vijayamma, YSRCP honorary president, will attend.
The legislators will elect the party leader at 10 am. Jagan, who would be formally elected, will address the members. He will review the party performance in the recent elections, with the defeated candidates, identifying the reasons for the defeat. The legislature party meeting comes in the wake of disappointment among the members following its failure to come to power, as was widely expected. Now it is reduced to become the main Opposition party.
