Vijayawada: On the third day of Supplementary Intermediate examination the students appearing in Gudivada center faced uncertainty over the alleged question paper leak on Tuesday. Joint Collector J Murali has stepped in to enquire into the incident as district Collector M Raghunandan Rao has ordered probe into the situation.

According to the details, Two Town police authorities have handed over the boxes containing Intermediate question papers to the staff of a corporate college assuming them to be empty.

The question papers which were prepared for the supplementary examinations were stored at the local police station. The police have sent the boxes to the college after the college staff asked them to return the empty boxes.

The police personnel then by mistake handed over twelve boxes containing question papers to the college management who kept them in their store room. On Tuesday, the college personnel noticed that the boxes were sealed and brought them back to the police station. However, the police found the seal of two boxes among the 12 were broken.

Sources said that there may be a possibility of paper leakage as the marks gained in supplementary or betterment examination would add weightage to the EAMCET examination score.

The inquiry report would bring out the truth behind the broken seals.
