He addressed the media later and said that he was fortunate to become the first DGP of Telangana and said that it gives him immense pleasure to be the first DGP.

He congratulated both ESL Narasimhan and KCR for becoming the first Governor and Chief Minister of Telangana, respectively.
It is worth mentioning here that early on Monday, ESL Narasimhan, the existing Governor of Andhra Pradesh has sworn-in as the first governor of Telangana. Justice Kalyan Singh Jyotisen Gupta, the Chief Justice of High Court, has witnessed the occasion. For the programme that happened at Raj Bhavan, Ponnala, KCR, Nadendla Manohar, Chakrapani, Narayana, Kishan Reddy and many other prominent leaders attended. Also, KCR will swear-in as the first Chief Minister of Telangana on Monday. June 2, the appointed day of Telangana has many beauties that include the swearing-in ceremonies of both the first governor and first chief minister.
