Hyderabad: PV Krishnaiah, a High Court advocate, has filed a petition seeking explanation that how KCR could become the Chief Minister of Telangana. The petition was filed in the form of Writ of Co Warrant. In his ibid writ petition, the petitioner has held Telangana State Chief Secretary, Governor, Union Home secretary, Union Judicial Secretary and KCR as the defendants.

In his arguments, the petitioner mentioned that the state governor ESL Narasimhan has done contempt of the Indian Constitution. He argued that the elections were held in the joint state and it was governor’s responsibility to call the party that won the majority number of seats to form the government. However, said the petitioner that Governor didn’t do the same and delayed the process till the appointed day. Further, the petitioner argued that it was not included in the AP Reorganisation Bill that Governor should wait till the appointed day to appoint the Chief Minister. He said legally governor failed to perform his duty. In view of this, said the petitioner that the portfolio of KCR as Chief Minister was invalid.
