Amos: Telangana Legislative Council post should be spared to TRS. KR Amos, a Senior Congress Party Leader and the Member of Legislative Council, on Saturday said that the Chairman post of Telangana Legislative Council should be given to TRS Party only.
Hyderabad: KR Amos, a Senior Congress Party Leader and the Member of Legislative Council, on Saturday said that the Chairman post of Telangana Legislative Council should be given to TRS Party only. He advised the Congress Party MLCs that it was not fair to claim the post quoting that the party has more number of MLCs. He said that the norm of giving speaker and chairman posts to the ruling party was needed to be followed.
Amos also said that all Telangana MLCs need to swear-in once again and said that earlier they sworn-in as the members of council of Andhra Pradesh and now they should swear-in as the members of council of Telangana. He said as it was mentioned in the re organisation bill that the deputy chairman would function as the pro-time chairman; he would only initiate the process in his capacity.
