Venkaiah Naidu reaches Gannavaram

Hyderabad: Venkaiah Naidu, a BJP national leader and the Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs, has reached Gannavaram early on Saturday. He was given a grand welcome by the BJP and TDP leaders at the airport. Venkaiah Naidu would be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Chandrababu Naidu, scheduled at 7.27 p.m. on Sunday.

From the other end, Nirmala Sitaraman, the Union Minister, has arrived in Hyderabad for the first time after she assumed the portfolio of the Union Minister. She was given a grand welcome by the state leaders of BJP. Later, she addressed the media and said that the Centre was keen on the development of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. She said that it was their aim to develop the two states, industrially. She said that waiver of crop loans was an internal affair of the states concerned. She said that the decision would be taken by the governments as per their election manifestoes. Nirmala said that with the formation of Telangana, the employment opportunities in the state were enhanced. She said that the youth should be given adequate training to get employed. She also said that the measures would be undertaken to bring out the black money. She said that they would follow the footsteps of Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India. Nirmala Sitaraman was later felicitated by the BJP MLAs and MP in their party office. She said that she would be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Chandrababu Naidu on Sundayevening.
