Hyderabad: Devineni Uma, the Minister for Major Irrigation in Andhra Pradesh government, on Tuesday said that the decision of releasing 10TMCs of water from June 25 to July 9 to Krishna Delta from Nagarjuna Sagar Dam was very old. He said that the authorities have been striving hard to implement the decision that was taken during the period of President’s rule in the state. He said that it was not fair to make it an issue over the water that was intended for the needs of provision of drinking water to the people.
From the other end, the officials from centre have already been consulting the Chief Secretaries of both states on this very matter. More details are awaited.
