Vasireddy PadmaHyderabad: Vasireddy Padma, the official spokesperson of YSR Congress Party, on Tuesday slammed Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. She said that Naidu who promised to turn Andhra Pradesh into a new Singapore has now been turning it into new Somalia. Further, she expressed the death of Vaija Bhaskar Reddy as a political murder done by the TDP leaders. She said that the new Andhra Pradesh state needs a new history and not a gory history (Rakta Charitra). She reminded of the speech delivered by YS Jagan in the state assembly hall regarding the political murders. She said they would take the matter of political murders to the state governor ESL Narasimhan.

It is evident that Vaija Bhaskar Reddy (48), an YSRCP leader of Prakasam district and the President of Giddaluru Cooperative Society, died when a local SI allegedly slapped him. This incident took place at around 12.25 in the midnight on Monday at a local police station.

According to sources, at DRR Plaza, there was a clash between Dr. Haranath Reddy and Thota Subba Rao, the owner of a Hero Honda showroom. The duo made complaint with the police against each other. In this incident, the Sub Inspector of Police Y Srinivasa Rao has allegedly misbehaved with the wife of Haranath Reddy. Bhaskar Reddy who reached the police station to condemn the misbehaviour of SI was allegedly manhandled by him. No sooner he was allegedly slapped by the SI than Bhaskara Reddy fell down on the floor and his condition turned critical. He died before he was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart stroke. The local MLA Muttumula Ashok Reddy along with the party leaders’ sit-in for dharna in front of the police station.
