Achievable Chandra Babu’s dream Vs doubtful KCR’s dream

Chandra Babu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is reportedly lobbying hard to host the 39th National Games to be held in 2017 at Vijayawada. He has already written a letter to Sarbananda Sonowal, the Union Minister of State for Sports (Independent Chrage), to give Andhra Pradesh a chance. It is evident that the 32nd National Games in 2002 were conducted in Hyderabad when Naidu was Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh.

The National Games conducted in 2002 had resulted in the creation of a world class sports infrastructure in Hyderabad and the emergence of new talent. The National games then conducted are of never before in the history and increased the brand image of Hyderabad, indubitably. With his influencing, Naidu has been planning to get hold of the hosting of the prestigious event, even before some other approaches with the very proposal.

From the other end, the government of the newly formed Telangana state led by the first Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao is determined to make Telangana likely victor in hosting the 2024 Olympic Games. Nevertheless, few experts say Hyderabad is far behind to be eligible to host the prestigious Olympic Games. From the other end, the TRS sources say they are always optimistic regarding the development of the state and KCR always say grand plans will yield grand results. Of course, there is nothing wrong to aspire for a great deal provided that such a deal is not unethical and immoral.

Apparently, the goal of Chandrababu Naidu of hosting the 2017 national games seems to be more practical than the goal of KCR of hosting the 2024 Olympics, which may not be impossible to achieve but surely it’s not very easy as getting the hosting chances of the National Games. Miracle can happen in a minute so 10yrs time is too much for an aspiration.
