Bio-Fertilisers Worth Rs 58 Lakh Seized. Officials of the Vigilance and Enforcement and Agriculture departments on Friday conducted raids at Yetikura in the town aimed at curbing illegal sale of bio-fertiliser in Guntur district. They sent the seized stocks for chemical analysis.
Vigilance, Agriculture officials jointly conduct raids in Guntur
Guntur: Officials of the Vigilance and Enforcement and Agriculture departments on Friday conducted raids at Yetikura in the town aimed at curbing illegal sale of bio-fertiliser in Guntur district. They sent the seized stocks for chemical analysis.
The officials seized bio-fertiliser stocks worth Rs.58 lakh, which were kept in a warehouse.
They said the raids were conducted as normally bio-fertilisers are to be sold under the control of the Agriculture Commissioner.
The officials seized 13 products of Symbiosis worth Rs.58 lakhs from the company as they did not meet the required standards for sale. The products were not approved and certified as chemical-free. Further action will be initiated after the departments get the lab report.
Vigilance and Enforcement inspector Kishore Babu, Agriculture officer Venkat and Forest Ranger Sriramulu participated in the raid against the company under the guidance of Vigilance and Enforcement Superintendent of Police K V Mohana Rao.
