Purandheswari: Ready to join TDP

Hyderabad: Everything is fair in politics like in love and war. There are as such hardly any everlasting friends or foes in the politics. Purandheswari, who recently joined the BJP, after quitting the Congress party, now becomes ready to quit the BJP also.

Nowadays, the eyes of Daggubati family are on the Telugu Desam Party, founded by her father. Purandeshwari’s recent statement, which says, “we ready to join TDP, but circumstances should also help to the cause”, added the necessary stuff to the issue.

It is evident that she had sacrificed her ministry in the UPA-II government to join the saffron army. She expected the party’s ticket to contest from a place of her choice but to no avail.

The agreement made between BJP and TDP as part of their political alliance has brought down her fortune. She had to ultimately contest from Rajampeta Loksabha constituency and lost, subsequently. After that, she maintained a distance with the party. The recent comments made by her ignited the recent political equations.

From the other end, Chandrababu Naidu sidelined his elder brother-in-law Hari Krishna and preferred younger brother-in-law Balakrishna to him. The Hindupur seat was spared to Balakrishna, discarding the interest of Hari Krishna, which ultimately led to the no participation of Hari Krishna and his son Jr NTR in the just concluded general elections.

The man behind allocating ticket for Rajampeta Lok Sabha constituency to Purandeshwari was Chandrababu Naidu, reportedly. It is still a matter of dilemma if Purandeshwari’s plan to join TDP will be welcomed or not by Naidu.
