Hyderabad: Informing that Andhra Pradesh government has decided to create zones for accommodating hospitals, schools and commercial complexes and might build non-polluting industries in the capital city, Minister P Narayana said different States offered different packages for land pooling.

He said Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana and Chhattisgarh government offered different packages to the land owners under land pooling system while acquiring their lands for the development of capital cities.

Gujarat government acquired 2,000 acres and for each acre, 15 per cent was set aside for roads, five per cent for open space, five per cent for social and physical infrastructure, 10 per cent for LIG housing and 15 per cent was kept as a land bank. In the remaining 50 per cent of land, half was given to the land owners and another for the development.

The Punjab and Haryana governments offered 1,100 square yards for one acre. Of which 1,000 was given for residential purpose and 100 square yards for commercial business. Of the remaining land, 25 per cent was used for roads, 15 per cent for open space and another 15 per cent for social infrastructure. Both the governments, Punjab and Haryana, gave projections for the three years on the land value. They offered 80 per cent to the land owners and 20 per cent to the government. The Chhattisgarh government straight away gave 35 per cent of the developed land to the owners.

“All the three governments are now expanding to create social infrastructural facilities,” said Narayana.
