To ensure adequate and quality power supply to consumers of all categories in the next four years, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to procure 2400 MW of thermal power under Public Private Partnership (PPP) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Own (DBFOO) basis.
Hyderabad: To ensure adequate and quality power supply to consumers of all categories in the next four years, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to procure 2400 MW of thermal power under Public Private Partnership (PPP) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Own (DBFOO) basis.
The government also put up a condition that the plants need to have CIL (Coal India Limited) linkage coal and has to be supplemented by imported coal. The companies should also have Commercial Operation Declaration (COD) before December 31, 2016. APTRANSCO CMD K Vijayanad said the tenders were prepared as per the guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Power and the Request for Qualification (RFQ) document was also uploaded in their sites.
