Vijayawada night hawks must carry ID proof: Cops
The Vijayawada police on Tuesday imposed some certain healthy restrictions for night street crawlers. The police have asked them to carry their ID proofs while roaming the roads late night.
Vijayawada: The Vijayawada police on Tuesday imposed some certain healthy restrictions for night street crawlers. The police have asked them to carry their ID proofs while roaming the roads late night.
The chain snatching cases are increased during the late night and early morning times. The police have increased night time patrols near Pundit Nehru Bus Stand, Vijayawada Railway Station and other important places where activity is seen throughout the night. Special drives will also be conducted on roads.
In a press release, police commissioner A.B. Venkateswara Rao said that suspicious people roaming in the city during the late night would be taken for questioning.
They intimated that people should carry sufficient identity proofs during their nightly ventures. Citizens have also been asked to carry vehicle records and driving licenses and to furnish the same to cops if asked.
