We have already told you that Hinduja power plant in Visakhapatnam is nearing completion and is all set to go operational in February.

Telangana once again approached ‘AP Re-Organization Act’ with the same demand that 54% of the power be allotted to it. As usually AP Chief minister is not willing to put up with this T-nuisance.

He made it clear that a ‘Purchase Power Agreement’ (PPA) needed to be in place to avail of power and Telangana did not have any.Infuriated at this reply of Naidu, Telangana decided to enter into a PPA with the ‘Hinduja Group’ and then asked for Naidu’s permission to sell unutilized power to Telangana.

AP government however said that the state will purchase the entire power from the ‘plant’ and if there was excess power, AP will decide on whom to sell it to.
