AP Capital: Land Pooling or Farmer Fooling?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu proposed an attractive land pooling initiative on behalf of his government to present people a world class capital city after the bifurcation of state.

While TDP leaders hailed the land pooling as the best proposal in the Country and even Chandrababu Naidu claims that he studied different states' approach before coming up with a plan to construct the new capital, opposition parties like YSRCP and Congress continue to slam the AP government saying it is not 'land pooling' but 'farmer fooling'.

Giving credence to these allegations, Chandrababu Naidu got irritated in public meetings when scribes questioned him on land pooling.

Political analysts believe that Chandrababu Naidu and his Ministers shouldn't force farmers or pressurise them to part with their lands but instead be patient enough to explain about the good initiative of the Government. Because building pressure on farmers to hurry their decision is like making them walk in the dark. Wonder if Babu and his team are listening?
