New Delhi: Failing to find a solution after the intervention of Governor ESL Narasimhan, the row over Eamcet between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh shifted to Delhi on Tuesday with both the states raising the issue with Union Minister for Human Resource Development Smriti Irani.

Education ministers of both the states, who took part in the HRD Ministers’ meeting in Delhi on Tuesday, requested Smriti Irani to resolve the issue. Though the education ministers from AP and Telangana participated in the conference, their visit was dominated over the logjam on conducting Eamcet.

Telangana education minister G Jagdishwar Reddy, while saying that his government is ready to conduct Eamcet by working with the Andhra Pradesh government, blamed the latter for the current impasse. His Andhra counterpart Ghanta Srinivasa Rao, who took up the issue with Smriti Irani, also met Union inister M Venkaiah Naidu and complained about the attitude of the Telangana government.
