Guntur: National University of Singapore Executive Director Dr B V R Chowdary here on Friday called upon students to equip themselves with late knowledge and skill in whichever profession they chose. Addressing the inauguration function of “Vignan Mahotsav,” organised by Vignan University here, said National University of Singapore was rated as number one in Asia and 25th in World. He advised youth to study, do research and work in globally best universities.

He said ample opportunities existed for skilled and talented youth. National University of Singapore was working in coordination with IIT Kanpur and IIT Chennai to serve the multiple purposes of research and entrepreneurship. He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's “Make in India” programme aimed at skill and man power development.

Quoting Italian painter, Michael Angelo, he stated “There is great danger to set a low aim to achieve, but there is a glory in keeping high aim but struggle to achieve it”. Dr Y V Subhraman Sastry, head Development Team, AVEVA Solutions, India was spending only 0.8 per cent of GDP for research. “Make India” was an initiative to develop cost affective technology and do research to transform India.
