CM Naidu agrees for Bhramotsavam at Vontimitta Temple On behalf of the Government, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has agreed to perform the Bahmotsavam in the 450-year-old Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in March at Vontimitta in Rajampet constituency in Kadapa district.

On behalf of the Government, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has agreed to perform the Bahmotsavam in the 450-year-old Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in March at Vontimitta in Rajampet constituency in Kadapa district.


According to Government Whip Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy, Mr. Naidu issued the orders to be in effect within a couple of days and would be attending the celestial wedding slated on March 28th night.


Earlier, the Government performed the Sri Navami Celebrations at the Bhadrachalam temple but with the temple now a part of Telangana, the decision to do so in Vontimitta temple was taken by the Telugu Desam Party Government. The temple was constructed during the Chola and Vijayanagara Empire that is about 26 kms from Kadapa.


With the news surfacing, people of Vontimitta burst crackers and welcomed the Government’s decision.
