Wife, 2 others arrested in Panchayat member murder. Etcherla police cracked the murder case of a ward member of Thavitayyanagar in Thotapalem panchayat of Etcherla mandal by arresting three accused, including victim’s wife, on Friday.

Srikakulam: Etcherla police cracked the murder case of a ward member of Thavitayyanagar in Thotapalem panchayat of Etcherla mandal by arresting three accused, including victim’s wife, on Friday.According to Srikakulam DSP K. Bhargavrao Naidu, Shantimahanti Satyanarayana alias Ganesh, 47, of Thavitayyanagar was killed by his wife, S. Suneetha with the help of Boppana Venkat and his friend and auto-rickshaw driver P. Raju on November 26, 2014.
Suneetha gave her husband milk laced with sleeping pills. When he fell asleep after consuming them, Suneetha and the accomplices killed him.They took the body to a secluded place at Chinnaraopalli area on November 27 and burned it. After collecting details about his family relations, the police arrested the wife and the two accomplices. The trio was produced before media on Friday night at Etcherla police station.
