Notices to Reliance, Mukesh Ambani

Hyderabad: Justice Durga Prasad of the High Court at Hyderabad on Monday ordered notices to Reliance Industries and Mukesh Ambani in connection to acquiring land in Godavari district. The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by Chekka Durgamba. The petitioner complained that her land was illegally taken from her possession by the company. She complained that Special Judicial First Class Magistrate for Prohibition and Excise, Kakinada had refused to acknowledge her petition in spite of the fact that she had filed a criminal petition against the company. The judge adjourned the case to after vacations.
