Working towards AP Special Status: Naidu

Union Minister and senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu responded to the protest staged by the Students JAC members at his residence on Friday and said that the Union Government was considering the issue of granting special status to Andhra Pradesh.

Stating that he had been coordinating between various Government bodies to get several projects to the Telugu states and provided the best for the high calibre educational institutions to AP, Mr Naidu blamed both the Telugu states – Telangana and AP for being a part of contemptible politics particularly on the Polavaram project making it clear that the AP Special Status proposal won’t be recognized before the 14th Finance Commission.
