Kadapa SP Naveen Gulati said that the red sanders smugglers movements were being watched by police teams and on questioning smugglers, Mukhesh Adani’s involvement was found. The 37-year-old from Haryana was said to be purchasing red sanders logs from the Seshachalam forests in Rayalaseema and depositing in his godown in the Magali area where they would be sold to countries such as Singapore, Japan and Malaysia.
The police recently arrested another international smuggler named B. Venkataramana and seized red sanders worth Rs 9 crore.
