Hyderabad: Implementation of 10th Pay Revision Commission recommendations for Andhra Pradesh government employees may get further delayed for a month or two. According to sources in the finance department, “it might be implemented by the end of June or even mid-July this year”. For, the government wanted to roll out the PRC through the Comprehensive Financial Management System (CFMS).

To do this, first the head of the department will have to upload the data of the staff under him. It was only after the data was updated it could be integrated with the CFMS, and all the orders pertaining to the implementation of the PRC for each of the employees could be realised, they added.

However, updating data about 4.5 lakh employees and 3.4 lakh pensioners turned out to be a Herculean task for the department and it would take one to two months. “Till then the employees and pensioners will have to wait for the orders on the implementation of the PRC,” said a source in the department.

On top of it, one more hurdle in the rolling out the PRC via CMFS was the bottleneck between the CMFS interface with the Directorate of Treasuries department following lack of coordination. As such, even if the whole data gets updated yet unless this bottleneck is not resolved it would delay in rolling out the PRC benefits through the CMFS, they said. Taking all these issues and the time needed to resolve them will take not less than one-and-a-half months.
