NTR ushered in reforms administration and governance in the form of abolition of Patwari and Patel system and introduction of Mandal system gave a new lease of life to the Backward communities who were given political opportunities at the grass root- level, Naidu said and added that food security scheme launched by the previous Congress-led UPA was the brainchild of NTR who launched Rs 2 a-kg- rice in his dispensation.

“NTR was the founder of many welfare schemes adopted by many states and even union governments." Paying glowing tributes to the departed leader, Balakrishna said NTR succeeded to win hearts of people in a short time as a political leader only because of his noble motive to serve people.

No leader had matched NTR’s charisma, he said and added that his father surpassed many hurdles to reach the pinnacle of both his film and political careers. NTR was the inspiration to all TDP leaders.
