Chittoor: Taking serious note of declining educational standards in government schools, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that his government would conduct regular exams for the teaching staff to improve their efficiency.Participating in ‘Badi Pilustondi (School Calling)’ programme at a government high school in Palamneru village in his native Chittoor distrtict, the Chief Minister said the poor results in the recently declared public examination was the stark example of how the government schools were performing.
“Since the future of the students lies in the hands of the teachers, it is the responsibility of the teachers to mould the future of the students,” he said. To make teachers accountable and also to improve their standard of teaching, the government would conduct exams for the teachers every year. The Chief Minister said the government wants to achieve 100 per cent results in all government schools.

Stating that internet facility would be provided in all government schools, Naidu said the dream to make AP a ‘Knowledge Hub’ would be realised only through the active participation of all sections of society. The Chief Minister urged philanthropists to donate liberally to strengthen the schools in the villages and ensure all children pursue their studies till they achieve their goals.
