Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would attend the funeral of former President A P J Abdul Kalam at Rameshwaram on Thursday.Naidu announced this while paying rich tributes to the former President. Recalling the services of the people’s President at a meeting convened to pay tribute to the missile man of India, the Chief Minister said “Kalam dedicated his entire life for experimentation, he was a real Bharat Ratna, who wanted India to be on the top in the community of nations till his last breath,”


“His words of dream big and strive to realise them would remain inspiring, and he took joy in seeing his dreams in the youth of the country. He breathed his last, while addressing the students, reflecting the dedication which he held till the last moment of his life,” he added.


Recalling how the ‘Wings of Fire’, penned by the former President ignited the aspirations of the younger generations in the country, Naidu said, “The real tribute for him lies in realising the dreams he left for us to work hard and achieve it. As wished by Kalam, not to declare holiday when he dies, the Naidu asked the employees to work for additional time as a real tribute to the departed leader.


Lessons and messages that Kalam has given us would inspire us for generations to come,” he added. Naidu also recalled how he along with former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee proposed the name of Kalam to the top Constitutional post, during the earlier NDA stint at the Centre.
