AP Express to run as weekly train soon
The proposed AP Express, a complete AC train scheduled to be operated from Vijayawada to New Delhi will be introduced soon as a weekly train at first, according to divisional railway manager (DRM) Ashok Kumar. He said one rake with all the new compartments reached Vijayawada and they are waiting for the clearance of Ministry of Railways to launch the AP Express.
Vijayawada: The proposed AP Express, a complete AC train scheduled to be operated from Vijayawada to New Delhi will be introduced soon as a weekly train at first, according to divisional railway manager (DRM) Ashok Kumar. He said one rake with all the new compartments reached Vijayawada and they are waiting for the clearance of Ministry of Railways to launch the AP Express.
He said the AP Express would be operated as a weekly express at present and after receiving additional rakes, it would be made a daily train. He also said that four rakes are needed to operate it as a daily train. The DRM said that the Railway Ministry has decided to rename the present AP Express train running between Hyderabad and New Delhi as Telangana Express from November 15.
