New Delhi: Finally, the change of Governor could happen for the two Telugu States. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to take up the issue with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for appointment of new Governor soon.
In fact, Naidu was scheduled to meet Rajnath Singh on Saturday but at the eleventh hour the visit has been postponed. Reports indicate that the BJP has earmarked one gubernatorial post each to the three of its allies—the TDP, Shiv Sena and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
While Naidu will be discussing the same, he would also seek a change of Governor E S L Narasimhan. During the Mahanadu held at Hyderabad in May, Naidu has reportedly promised his Telangana leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu that he would be recognised with a gubernatorial post.
According to speculation, Narasimhulu could be the choice of Naidu as Governor of Kerala. In turn, Justice Sathasivam, who is currently the Governor of Kerala, could be posted to the Telugu States, it is said.
