Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (VIRRD) building at Timmapuram village in Dwaraka Tirumala mandal on Friday. He assured to develop the temple village into a health hub and strive hard to make the farmers and poor people live happily in the State. He assured that the VIRRD will be included in Arogyasri scheme.

Eluru: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (VIRRD) building at Timmapuram village in Dwaraka Tirumala mandal on Friday.

He assured to develop the temple village into a health hub and strive hard to make the farmers and poor people live happily in the State. He assured that the VIRRD will be included in Arogyasri scheme.

The CM also visited various wards in the hospital along with Endowments Minister P Manikyal Rao, Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, Panchayat Raj Minister Ch Ayyanna Pathrudu,

Women and Child Welfare Minister Peethala Sujatha. He enquired about the facilities provided in the hospital with Dr Jagadeesh, in charge of the VIRRD.

The hospital was constructed at a cost of Rs 15 crore with contributions from the Vegesna Foundation and Dwaraka Tirumala Devasthanam besides donations from philanthropists. Later, addressing a public meeting, the Chief Minister said that he felt happy that with the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara and the Dwaraka Tirumala Devasthanam, the disabled people are getting treatment in the VIRRD.
