Vijayawada: The State government has decided to resolve the problems of the farmers of 29 villages who had given their lands for the capital construction.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P Narayana, Agriculture Minister Pattipati Pulla Rao held a review meeting after touring Uddhandarayapalem on Monday on the representations given by the farmers.

The Ministers said that issue of ration cards, pensions were more among the issues that were brought to their notice and the same would be resolved at the earliest.

Steps would be taken for immediate issuance of 3,500 pensions and 3,750 ration cards to the farmers in the area, they added. Similarly,

it was also decided to distribute annuity cheques to the framers holding assigned lands, Narayana said. However, a decision would be taken on the disbursing the annuity payments to the farmers of having agriculture holdings in islets in River Krishna on October 22, he said.

Similarly, all the pending applications for ration cards, pensions from 29 villages would be cleared by October 15, they assured the people.
