Mangalagiri (Guntur): Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu sought the cooperation of the 5 crore people of the State in building a world-class capital city Amaravati.

He also appealed to the people of the entire State to donate at least one brick for building the capital as a token participation in the Mission Amaravati. He said Amaravati would be one of the top 10 cities in the world.

The Chief Minister flagged off at the Bible Mission Grounds here on Tuesday the procession of the vehicles carrying sand and water brought from 16,000 villages and 3000 municipal wards from the 13 districts in the State under the ‘Mana Neeru, Mana Matti and Mana Amaravati’ to the Amaravati foundation fete at Uddandarayunipalem.

Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said that it was a privilege given to him by destiny to preside over the capital building of the State. He said that holy earth and water blessed by religious heads had been brought here to integrate the same with the Amaravati.

Holy earth and water from Jerusalem, Mecca and other holy places was also brought for integration with Amaravati. Naidu said determination and the blessings of God would only make the mission successful. Naidu recalled that after conducting Bhoomi Pooja for the capital, several projects have come to the State unsolicited.

The Singapore government submitted master plan in three months besides giving three plans of integrated projects for the State capital. Naidu said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would arrive at 12.40 pm on October 22 for the foundation stone laying ceremony. He said Amaravati will be a path to success.
